Latitud 42 began creating editorial and design content specialized in technology, communication, styling and sailing. The activities during that first period focused on the creation of publications for specialized magazines, monographs and advice on product orientation in the publishing sector; as well as researching the profiles of readers and advertisers and the development of below-the-line marketing campaigns for magazines specializing in technology, medicine, pharmacy and sports.
Latitud 42 developed these activities for Haymarket Editores, Ediciones Audio Imagen, MC Ediciones and the Spanish Olympic Committee in a first phase. Later, its activity as an agency was extended to the research and creation of editorial products for RBA Editores and RBA Publicaciones , Editorial Planeta, Editorial Juventud, Altaya, Salvat Ediciones, Ediciones Reunidas and the Godó Group, among others.
Some of the published works were the encyclopedias Nautical Practical Guide, for RBA Publicaciones, published in Spain (1994/95) and, by Ediciones Altaya, Grandes Veleros (2000-01), Amerigo Vespucci,
published in Italy (2002/2003) and Spain (under the name of Juan Sebastián de Elcano) (2005/06), Nossa Senhora da Conceição, published in Portugal (2005/06), in Spain (under the name of San Felipe) (2006/07) and Great Britain (under the name of Britannia) (2006-07), and Santísima Trinidad, also published in Poland, Greece and Portugal.
In the mid-1990s, with the arrival of the Internet, Latitud 42's activities expanded in the field of online communication. Some of the highlights include: the website Seguridad en el Mar, developed for the insurance firm Winterthur in 1998: a pioneering publication in the world of sports sailing and selected by the newspaper El País, along with the website of the America’s Cup, as the best nautical websites in 1999; and the Aula Virtual
of the Escuela Náutica Cataluña, the first online sports nautical school in Spain with courses to obtain nautical degrees..
Between 1993 and 1999, the agency developed below-the-line press and advertising campaigns for the Muntanyà Convention Center, Timberland, Mery SA, Hiacre, the Barcelona Olympic Sailing Week and the PlayStation project, the round-the-world tour and the oceanic records obtained by the North American Steve Fossett on his catamaran
In 2000, Latitud 42 started creating and producing multimedia content for specific communication applications: books, music and audiovisuals. Among them are the book America’s Cup for the Bank of Valencia; the book Historia de la Copa de Rey , for Industrias Puig ; the audiovisual microcosmic for Industrias Cosmic ; the musical compilation Hotel Neri, the book and the musical book-compilation Hotel de las Letras, for the Habitat group , and the double compilation Hotel Omm, for the Tragaluz Group. It was also the agency responsible for product placement, collaborator of the costume and artistic department, personal shopper agency for the film's actors (Aitana Sánchez Gijón ) in the Spanish-Norwegian film co-production, The Frost , by the director Ferran Audí, for the production company Alta Realitat ; in addition to managing and negotiating several films by director David Carreras with various production companies such as DeA Planet ; among them, the most prominent is the film Hypnos.
